Album Info:Finally back on the trail after 5 months of rehab following my car accident in January, and it's a return to my usual haunts in Welland and Fort Erie for CP, CN and Trillium Railways action.

Description:  Way at the back of the deadline is former STELCO STEEL Switcher #615 - originally built in 1951; painstakingly rebuilt in 2021 to work this yard switching metal pipe rack cars. Apparently, it didn't last long. Check out my March 2021 album for pics when #615 first emerged from the shop after rebuilding. Description:  I wasn't able to quickly find out the lineage of this old caboose, but there it is, sitting in the Trillium Railways yard in Welland. It is painted in what looks like the new owner - GIO Industries - solid grey livery - but without any reporting marks.

Description:  Things are changing now that GIO Industries has taken over Trillium Railways operations in and around St. Catharines and Welland. The massive blue warehouse has been completely dismantled, with the yard now serving as a lumber storage facility. Not sure what's going to happen to Trillium's two aging ALCOs.

Description:  After photographing the tank ship ALGOMA HANSA at Port Robinson, I swung by Fort Erie on the way home, not really expecting anything, but was just in time for a meet between a CN and a CP freight train at Duff Yard - both headed west. I was able to chase both trains for pics at two different spots. First real ship and train chasing expedition since the car crash way back in January. It felt REALLY good to be back out on the (rail) road again. Broken wrist healing nicely. Just gotta be careful.
