Title:  GRE 3839, we meet again
Description:  I crossed paths with 3839 back in October of 2004, when it spent a night at Ensel yard while enroute back home to Grand Rapids after being repaired by TSBY in Owosso. Here we see 3839 sitting in North Yard, with MMRR 1836, as they await their next assignment.

Description:  The old Pere Marquette Montague/Whitehall depot, now the local Chanber of Commerce. Up until the late 1990s, active tracks still ran along this station. CSX ran the last train in late 1998, and the tracks were torn up in 1999 or 2000. I

Chessie Caboose
Title:  Chessie Caboose
Description:  When CSX turned over operations in Ludington to Marquette rail, they left this C&O/Chessie caboose behind due a slightly cracked frame. Marquette kept using it for a while, but I guess a problem came up, so they parked it on a side track in the Ludington yard. UPDATE: In December of 2006, this caboose was painted into Marquette colors and has become MQT 3158.

Description:  The former Pere Marquette station in Traverse City. Up until recently, it was rare to get shots like this one due to the Grand Traverse dinner train being parked in front, but the dinner train equipment was removed from the tracks in front of the depot shortly before this was taken.
