Description:
Union Pacific Railroad Yard Slug S30 at North Little Rock, Arkansas on September 13, 1988, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number S30 was built in February 1952 (c/n 15838) as Bauxite & Northern SW9 10. In 1964 the MP traded RS3's 975 and 977 for the 10 which became MP 1254, renumbered later to 1218. It was cut down to a yard slug in December 1981, becoming MP 1421 and on September 9, 1988 became UP S30. On May 20, 2000 it became UPY 924.
