Description:  Here is the first Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) 4-6-2 built for the Frisco in March of 1904, a month after the very first Pacific delivered by Alco Brooks to the railroad. Specs - serial #23744, class 1010, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 191,000 lb, tractive effort of 25,623 lb. The photo is from the Harold K. Title:  SLSF 4-6-2 #1015
Description:  This is a 1910 Baldwin built Pacific logo, a Frisco class 1015 member. It had 60" drivers and generated a modest 160 psi for its 26"x28" cylinders. The engine weight was 212,000 lb and it could produce 37,307 lb tractive effort. The Firsco shops rebuilt the class to boost the psi to 200 and increased the tractive effort of 39,736 lb. Description:  Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1910, this locomotive and its 24 sisters were among the first to be delivered with superheaters. It had 69" drive wheels and an overall engine/tender length of 64 3/4 ft. All were rebuilt by SLSF sometime in the 1930's with a few being streamlined in 1939. All were "dismissed from service" between May 31, 1949-December 11, 1951. No actual date or location was given for this photo. Note the fireman in this photo filling the tender from a standpipe.
