Button Copy RR Crossing Sign  Contributor's Pick!
Vineland and Emporia, VA are the only places I have seen where Button Copy RR Crossing Signs are located - they probably date from the 1950s or 1960s since button copy was common among early interstates, e.g. I-83 in Maryland, but is now very rare on signs. It was an early form of reflection for better night vision - obviously with the development of better reflective paint it has fallen out of favor
