Chuck Zeiler General This photo shows a B-unit with hostler controls install, as indicated by the square window at the far end. This is the front of the B-unit, the hostler controls are installed in the rear end in the empty space reserved for the steam generator option. The hostler controls allowed the locomotive to be moved around the shops area without an A-unit. Other Burlington B-units known to be so equipped were 160B, 169B, and C&S 700C.
