Bernie Feltman General These in cab shots are priceless, William. Thanks for going the extra mile to do this 10/8/2009 9:18:39 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks, You're welcome. I was just lucky we were stopped & my conductor was busy applying hand brakes on our train so the timing was good for me to take advantage of this shot. I stood on the front pilot for the shot. Another good thing was I was called late out of Birmingham & ran in daylight, most of the time I'm running in darkness all the way to Nashville & Birmingham 10/8/2009 9:29:16 PM
SDfourD Photography General I see the CSX has been busy throwing some spartan cabs on the point lately! Good to see, hopefully I get the same luck when I head down to Chicago in a little over a week. 10/8/2009 9:42:46 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Yeah, I'm glad to see that myself. I wouldn't have shot these trains if the GE widecabs led both of the trains. I don't mind the EMD widecabs as much, but I prefer to see the older spartan cabs myself, especially if the paint is fresh. You should do well in Chicago even if you don't see spartan cabs on CSXT you should see some good regionals & shortlines in the Chicago area 10/9/2009 8:19:16 AM
