| CSS&SB Pullman built 14 and Nippon Sharyo built 17 at the Randolph Street Station in Chicago, Illinois on April 19, 1983, photo by Chuck Zeiler. Number 17 was built by Nippon Sharyo in 1982, was wrecked and destroyed January 21, 1985 at Gary, Indiana in a head-on collision with Nippon Sharyo 26, also destroyed. Both cars were replaced by NICD in 1992 with new cars that carry the same road numbers.
