| NORMAN OK April 11 1980 -- Santa Fe SD40-2 5089 leads TOFC train 185 west (compass south) toward the Brooks Street crossing. An apartment complex to the left and behind this photo was popular with railfans attending the University of Oklahoma. EMD built the 5089 in October 1979, Santa Fe rebuilt it into an SD40-2u in July 1991 and Morrison Knudsen performed maintenance on it in April 1994. On November 4 1998 it became'BNSF 6748.
