When he retired, the company dedicated this unit to him by using his initials "JFD" in the reporting marks, and getting his signature on both sides of the unit! Anyways, 8045 started out in August of 1979 as BN 8045, the unit then became BNSF 8045, and then existed as HLCX 8045 before becoming JFDX 8045 |
