Train PO30-16 going east into Connellsville approximately four hours late due to a large fire near a NS rail line in Alliance, Ohio. Leading is the Phase III 40th anniversary heritage unit. Getting a photograph of an Amtrak train in full sunlight around here is a rarity, and having #145 on the front made it extra special. The engine had been in Chicago the previous weekend for National Train Day. This train only made a "conditional" stop in Connellsville, due to it being so late. That means it only stopped to drop off passengers and did not pick any up. On a normal day it runs on Track 1 to the right in the photo but I think it made for a better photo on Track 2 anyways. |
