PC T3a 4678 at Wilmington, Delaware on an unknown day in May 1979, Ektachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This class of locomotives (T1a, T1b, T2a, T2b, T3a) were known as T-motors, this one was former NYC 1178, and later, 278. It was last used in wire train service, displaced in 1974 by a pair of borrowed Long Island MU coaches. A total of 36 T-motors were built between 1913 and 1926, ten were class T3a. |
