| A string of covered hoppers spotted on a spur along WSOR, former C&NW, rails southeast of Reed St., in Plymouth, WI on 15 Jul. '14. A tanker truck is parked alongside the spur either loading or unloading one of the cars. This spur, a remnant of the former C&NW mainline, was re-installed quite recently; it does not appear on current satellite maps. These new rails end at E. Clifford St., the next would-be grade crossing, but they will once again carry trains to Kohler, WI in the near future, if I’m not mistaken. The former MILW rails in use by WSOR are hidden on the right; you can see some of the old telephone poles that parallel the rails. |
