| Slope to Works. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad trains between SLOPE and WORKS Towers in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 06 June 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #6307 and #6300. Both are AF-27's built by the American Locomotive Company in 1965 and rated at 2,700 horsepower each. They are pushing a westbound ore train past the Altoona Passenger Station, visible on the right. |
