Successor to a proud history         
As the northeast rail scene imploded, it became obvious to the states that assistance would be needed to continue the various commuter services that were provided by the railroads, who were taking a loss on them. Mostly it was PC, but also Reading, CNJ and EL were also in the mix. In Philadelphia, it was SEPTA who took on that mantle. An ex Pennsy car is at 30th St, no longer jith a Keystone, but with the double arrow of the commuter authority.
