Here is another example of a 1914 Montreal Locomotive Works built 4-6-4T tank loco used in commuter service in Montreal until retirement. It was captured at the Grand Trunk Turcot roundhouse, long since torn down for an expressway. This loco have been preserved at the Exporail (Canadian Rwy Museum) in Saint-Constant, Quebec, Canada. Specs - class X-10-a, 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 21x26" cylinders, engine weight of 275,000 lb, tractive effort of 32,487 lb. Anthony H. Perles photo |
