Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in April of 1940, this 4-8-4 Confederation (CN's label for the Northern type) served for twenty years before being scrapped in March of 1960. Anthony H. Perles photographed it in Turcot yard while it was being prepared for a run. Note the crew member standing on the rear of the tender. Specs - serial #69266, U-2e class, 73" drivers, impressive 250 psi boiler pressure, 25.5x30" cylinders, engine weight of 383,000 lb, tractive effort of 56,786 lb. Scrapped March of 1960.
