Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Haddonfield, New Jersey, perhaps in 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5344, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during February of 1928 and retired in April of 1958 after 30 years of service. In this context, it's rockin' 'n' rollin' past VERNON Tower with a three-car PRSL commuter train. The exact date is not recorded. Many thanks to Mr. Ben Kranefeld for identifying this location correctly. Produced and distributed by FJC Products of Newport, Delaware. ("LouisFols"; #9 of 16) |
