NS 4118 leads NS Train 223 or as BNSF would put it F-KCMSTL7 09K south on the BNSF Hannibal Sub. at Clarksville, MO. Detours occurred after the Grand River bridge in Brunswick, MO. washed out, causing several headaches for the NS. Both 223 & 224 were detoured over the BNSF Brookfield and Hannibal Subdivisions to get to STL and from KC. The power swapped ends of the train in West Quincy as well due to the wye not being in service. This one definitely looked funny with empty frame flats up front and all the stacks on the rear. I was glad to catch one in daylight (even on a cloudy/rainy day) as they generally ran after dark. The detour on a tour of the BNSF System through northern Missouri.... |
