The Class L1 "Mikados" were built in the Juniata Shops in Altoona, PA and by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and the Lima Locomotive Works. The Juniata shops built 344, Baldwin built 205 and Lima built 25. Only PRR #520 survives at the RR Museum of Pennsylvania.
