Texas & Pacific D-10s class 4-6-0 393 was parked at the Texas Pacific-Missouri Pacific Terminal Railroad of New Orleans’ RACE STREET YARD. The 393 had been built as a D-10 class locomotive by Alco’s Cooke Works (44508) in October 1907, was rebuilt into a D-10s class loco in June 1919 and was retired in March 1952, after being replaced in local service by new EMD SW8’s 810-817. That car on the right was Merchants Despatch Transportation Company reefer 11247. (approximate date of photo) |
