Portraits 2. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via C.E. Senseny that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 10 May 1931. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #127, an I-1S (2-10-0) "Decapod" built in Juniata as an I-1S during October of 1918, rebuilt as an I-1SA in December of 1942, and retired in August of 1956 after 38 years of faithful service. Note the trestle to the Coaling Wharf in the hazy distance. (#20 of 36) |
