Lima built this beefy 0-8-0 yard switcher in July of 1934 (serial #7621, class C-17) as New York Chicago & St Louis (Nickel Plate) 0-8-0 #304. The loco worked for nearly 28 years before it was finally retired and sold for scrap to Luntz Iron & Steel Company on March 18, 1962.The photo is from the Howard W. Ameling collection |
