Portraits 3. Here is a steam locomotive portrait by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Columbus, Ohio, on 13 July 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9989, an H-10S built in Juniata as Vandalia H-8C number "419" during February of 1912, rebuilt by Vandalia as H-8SC number "361" in September of 1916, renumbered PRR "8824" in 1917, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in November of 1920, renumbered "9889" in 1951, later renumbered "9989," and retired in August of 1957 after 45 years of faithful service.
