Here is the front side of a "Vanishing Vistas" portrait that was published by Lyman E. Cox in 1972. Photo by Mr. Don Sims. Shown here (L to R) are Penn Central Railroad engines #4925 and #4886. Both are GG-1's (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata and rated at 4,620 horsepower each. #4925 was constructed in August of 1942, while #4886 was built in March of 1939. They're pulling a mail and express train through the Paoli Passenger Station on its way to Harrisburg and points West in February of 1968. |
