Santa Fe H-12-44TS 543 rusts away at the IRMs display yard in Union. The unit was constructed in 1956 to steam-heat passenger cars while they were moved between the ATSF coach yards and Chicago Union Station. This unit is the sole survivor of its class, and spent time at the California State Railroad Museum before returning to the Chicagoland area. |
