Here is page one of a six-page cover article by Howard Serig entitled "The Taking Of Amtrak 4935." It was published originally in the July 1977 issue of the "Passenger Train Journal," page 19. Here is a photo by Kevin P. Keefe that was taken at Union Station in Washington, DC, on 15 May 1977. Shown here is AMTK engine #4935, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata as Pennsylvania Railroad #4935 during March of 1943, rated at 4,620 horsepower, later owned by Penn Central and Amtrak, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.
