Here is a photo via Forrest W. Trittenbach that was taken near Glassport, Pennsylvania, on 8 September 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8205, a B-6S (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata as a B-6 during 1903, rebuilt as a B-6S in May of 1919, and retired in February of 1949 after 46 years of faithful service. This locomotive has been stripped of its bell, electric generator, headlight, front marker lights, and main driving rods. Even its air pump is gone! Williams Collection. |
