MILW 323
My old notes say "South of Minneapolis". Any ideas where this actually is?

Tony Held General Hi. :-) While I am only a twentysomething railfan who was only five when the good old Milwaukee Road left us in 1985, I am very much familliar with the remaining Milwaukee trackage in the Twin Cities, for I have lived here all my life. The crew on this Geep are, in my educated opinion, working on the grain elevator-rich trackage along Hiawatha Avenue north of Minnehaha Park. Where the rails stop today by the 1880's-vintage Princess Depot, in the park that boasts the famous falls Henry Longfellow made famous. Nice shot, by the way. 10/9/2007 8:16:37 PM
Colin t Hart General Not the Hiawatha district: too many trees and too few tracks. Also wrong style of power lines for that area. 7/16/2021 12:07:56 PM
