Description:  Volkmer. Here is an original 35mm color slide by William D. Volkmer that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 30 September 1962. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7613, #8595, and #8604. #7613 is an ES-17M built by GM-EMD in December of 1957 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. #8595 and #8604 are both AS-16M road switchers built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1955 and rated at 1,600 horsepower each.

Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8604, an AS-16M road switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in December of 1955, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and eventually acquired by the Florida Gulf Coast Railroad.
