| The Chamber of Commerce in Oran MO uses the former MP depot for its offices. The line was originally part of the Iron Mountain's (later MP) Charleston/Belmont branch; it was sold to the Golden Cat RR in 1987 to serve 11 miles of track when the portion south of Newman Spur was abandoned. Golden Cat ceased its operations in 1993 with the tracks subsequently being pulled up west to Delta. The BNSF (BN, SLSF) St Louis to Memphis line still runs through town about a block away. |
