PPLC Locomotive D, 0-8-0, c. 1947         
Here is a photo by Mr. Bert Pennypacker. It was published originally in the October 1947 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 59. Partial Caption: "Locomotive D of the Pennsylvania Power & Light Company sports fancy trimmings not frequently seen on industrial locomotives." Shown here is PPLC fireless steam engine "D," an 0-8-0 switcher built by the Heisler Locomotive Works during 1940 and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. The exact date and the location are not recorded.
