| Here is another view of the once mighty GG1 as it sits whitelined in the Altoona scrap line. The photo was taken by an unknown photographer. According to a more recent album on RRPA by Joe Rogers, this loco ended up at Cooperstown Junction, NY, with a plaque that Joe Rogers photographed stating "2000 In Memory of Robert E. Anderson, The GG1 Rehabilitation Society". But from the pics that Joe posted, it sure doesn't look like the society was able to rehabilitate #4937. Does anyone know of the current disposition of this loco? |
